Happy Birthday to Brooke!!

It's Brooke's Birthday! I got her the coolest gift, and I'd tell you what it is but I haven't sent it to her yet and I can't give it away before she gets it! But I know she's going to love it! I was supposed to go up and visit her last week but because of my new job offer and the training that needed to be done before I started, well I couldn't take the time off after all. Which is why her present wasn't sent to her. Hopefully Ill get it in the mail in the morning. Here are some of my favorite Brooke Moments..........

*When I was 7 years old Brooke was watching TBS Superstations Night Tracks and she was kicking her leg back and forth and a Madonna video came on, she immediately said "I hate Madonna" and kicked her leg out and landed on her butt. I couldn't stop laughing and told her that she shouldn't say she hates people, Karma doesn't like it.

*It was Christmas Time and I was given this talking Stocking. It said "Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas". We had pushed the button so much that the battery was dying. It finally had stopped working all together. On Christmas Morning Brooke was pulling out presents from behind the tree and sat right next to the stockings. All of a sudden she comes flying out from behind the tree with this look of panic on her face. We weren't sure what was wrong and then all of a sudden we her this long drowned out "Hooooo Hooooo Hooooo Meeeerrrrrrry Christmmmmaaaaassss!". It was so low and freaky sounding and Brooke thought for sure the Exorcist was after her.

*One night I was in my room doing some homework when I started hiccuping. Normally not a big deal, but I sound like a cracked out mouse. Brooke came in and started talking to me and right in the middle of her sentence she yells in my face! I was so startled that my hiccups went away. She told me that she's always wanted to try scaring the hiccups out of someone. It worked!

*I think my favorite memory of Brooke took place before the Orem house was remodeled. We had this tiny kitchen. And it shared a wall with the stairs that went to the basement. We had a grate that was on the wall that you could hear into the kitchen with. One day I was coming up the stairs and I could hear Brooke in the kitchen. I immediately started talking through the grate telling Brooke to let me out of the fridge that it was cold. She couldn't figure out where I was or how I was talking to her but she was too smart to fall for the whole being stuck in the fridge gag.

I have to say that Brooke is one of my favorite partners in crime. If I'm up to No Good, I know that Brooke will be right there with me. I love that she supports my wacky sense of adventure and is laughing with me the whole time we're plotting our next "accident". I'll always love the green Aliens on Tara's feet and will always credit Brooke for my start in the world of Mischief!

THE PARENTS ARE HOME!!

Okay, really I don't know who was more excited to see Tara and Billy! I think it might have been me! Yes I think I might have ran to the stairs to greet them too. Only I think I grabbed their luggage where the kids grabbed their parents. I think at that point I might have thought, "If I grab their luggage then that means they have to come home with us!!!". After Tara being gone for 2 weeks, and me trying to train for my new job, I might have lost my mind somewhere. I honestly don't know how single working parents do it! I can't tell you how many times I was afraid I left the kids somewhere when I should have picked them up or I thought they were at someones house, only to find them at my own. I'm not kidding my mind is lost! (No, I haven't quite put out posters for the retrieval of my mind...yet). So to all those single working parents! GOOD LUCK!! I did it for about 3 weeks and I'm not in a hurry to EVER do it again!
